2010 Dangerous Goods Instructors Symposium

Dangerous Goods Instructor's Symposium V - Standards to Advocacy

September 22 - 24, 2010 Embassy Suites, Lakefront, Chicago.
The fifth edition of Labelmaster's DG Instructorcentered symposium brings with it a multimodal focus. Change is in the air, literally, with the new edition of the ICAO Technical Instructions due out in the fall. This will require indepth study for air mode shippers. There is change, too, in the maritime mode with training mandatory across the transportation chain. This presents both challenges and opportunities for the instructor community. Coupled with a renewed focus on 49 CFR’s regulatory impact and effectiveness, the need for the hazmat instructor to be on top of both the current regulations and also upcoming changes has never been greater.

Delegates will once more be tasked with being active participants in developing this important safety forum, bringing their individual and shared skills, expertise and experience to the floor. By actively sharing knowledge, not only do we each become better trainers and instructors but the cause of transportation safety is moved ahead.
